My Masterpiece

A few weeks ago, some of my classmates and I headed over to Expressive Hand which is a pottery painting studio along South Street in Philly. I had seen some adorable marshmallow mugs on Pinterest at one point and tried to create me own marshmallow mug! I think that it turned out pretty great but I was a little sad that they hadn’t been too careful putting my mug in the oven and I ended up getting different paint smears here and there. I love painting and stuff like this but I was not very impressed with the prices and services here.

Enjay’s

There happens to be an amazing pizza place located inside the bar down the block form the dental school. I had heard great things about Enjay’s pizza so we decided to give it a try for dinner one night! We got the mushroom and cheese pizza as well as the Enjay’s fries. It was delicious and I would love to try some of their other types of pizzas in the future!

All the Pastry Crust!

The theme of dinner was apparently pastry crust! I had previously made the filling for a beef pot pie but didn’t have pastry crust and so I ended up freezing it.

So one weekend, Mark decided to make quiche and I tagged along to make a pot pie! I think they both turned out fantastic!! 
  

Prosthodontics

A few weeks ago was National Prosthodontics Awareness Week. To celebrate, our club hosted a lecture with Dr. Blatz and Dr. Anadioti, followed with some networking time with prosthodontists in the area. Some of the work that prosthodontists can do is extremely amazing!  In the right field of the specialty, prosthodontists even work outside of the mouth to complete facial reconstructions! It’s truly quite and art and I’m excited that Penn is in the works of starting a prosthodontics specialty here at the school! 
  

I wish Philly had more fish!

Yvonne and I stopped at Raw for some sushi – I love sushi and I wish I could eat it more. 
  
  

Dinner at Marathon

Once upon a time we used to do more class activities and then we started the crazy class that is pathology. But after our third exam, some of us went for dinner to celebrate Amirtha’s birthday!

   
    
 

Happy Birthday Mark!

It was Mark’s birthday last week and we had a great time eating Chinese food! 

  

Ben and Jerry’s Free Cone Day

Considering it was only a five minute wait for free ice cream, I think it shows how absolutely busy our schedules have been lately that Yvonne and I only went once! The horror! 

Also strawberry cheesecake is not better than cherry Garcia in case you were wondering… 
   

Since we had a. huge path exam last week I’ve been MIA. Sorry mom! 

Life as a Guinea pig

So far we’ve learned how to give injections on each other and this time we’re learning how to clean teeth! 

Mike proved to be great at his job (please ignore his terrified expression at the end – I swear he knew what he was doing!)   
   

Erawan

Seriously, I love Thai food and so far I think that Erawan has the some of the best Thai food in Philly. Penang curry with Thai iced tea is just perfect for a Sunday afternoon!
