Mango Shaved Ice

This past weekend I headed out to Vancouver to visit Andrew and go to a wedding together (more on this later). While there, he took me to an Asian dessert place (Mango Yummy) and it made me realize that I miss Asian desserts so much! Philly has a ton of bubble tea places but I haven’t seen any places with Asian desserts!

We got the mango and mochi shaved ice:

It was pretty good but some parts towards the bottom, I felt like I was just eating snow from outside. I would definitely want to go back and try something else!

Zavino’s

Sej, Anh and I went to Zavino’s for happy hour one night. We tried the rosemary flatbread (it came with whipped ricotta) and it was delicious!

We also couldn’t decide on which dessert we wanted so we split both! (I think I liked the chocolate mousse better than the tiramisu!)

I’m glad to have such wonderful ladies in my life!

Sorbet!

It was so hot out that I decided to make a snack to cool down! I ended up making a strawberry kiwi sorbet.

Boiling up my strawberries:

Blending up those fruits!

Off to the freezer!

It ended up tasting really great! It was a little on the sweet side and took a long time to freeze but it was worth it!

I recently joined the SPEA group (Student Professionalism and Ethics Association) and we decided to make buttons to encourage and remind all students to act ethically. We definitely worked together on this one… I came up with and idea for the image, Elysha drew it out and Steven had the buttons made!
I must say I’m pretty excited with the results!
