Valanni and Big Gay!

Olivia and I decided to try something new for her and for me so we went to Valanni and Big Gay Ice Cream!

Valanni has a lot of different tapas on their menu which meant that we got to try several different dishes like the goat cheese!

I’m also super lucky that Olivia also loves octopus and it was a really great dish here!

Of course (since I’m in love with brussel sprouts), we had to get them but we were a little disappointed. We had hoped for them to be full sprouts instead of just crisps.

After dinner we went to Big gay since Olivia hadn’t been there before.

Big Gay Ice Cream

Big Gay Ice Cream originally started in New York but recently set up shop in Philadelphia. They’re known for their interesting flavor combinations as well as their very interesting menu names.

While Tanya was here I convinced her to come with me since I haven’t been there yet!

We both had the salty pimp which started with vanilla ice cream but then they squeezed dulce de leche into the middle of it, sprinkled some fleur de sel and dipped it in chocolate. Even without the fancy toppings, I think their soft serve is some of the best that I’ve ever had. Seriously a must just for the experience!
